Using Triptico in the Classroom is Simple and Easily Adaptable...
Step-by-step directions on how to use Triptico can be found here!
Use Triptico in Science!
Teachers can use Triptico in science! Identifying plant parts and their significance can be challenging for students to understand. Incorporate various activities to help students form a deeper understanding of plant parts and use some Triptico resources to quiz students on their newfound knowledge. Text spinner and image spinner are great resources to help students learn about plant parts. Image spinner can be used to connect the pictures to information that is presented about the image. The Cardboard and Word Magnets resource can help students review what they have learned about plant parts. Once students are more comfortable with their plant knowledge, there are various resources that can be utilized to quiz them. Find Ten, What’s in the Box, Question Quiz, Match It, and Class Vote can all be used to create various questions that allow students to see what they have learned. Student Groups, Team Scores, and Class Magnets can all be used to help split the class into groups and keep score during quiz activities to help students stay motivated. |
_ Use Triptico in Math!
Triptico can be used for math during a geometry unit. Students can identify various shapes by connecting images to descriptions using the Word Magnet, Image Spinner, and Text Spinner resources. Students can also define various characteristics of shapes through flashcard-simulating resources such as Cardboard, Find Ten, and Match It. Students can test their knowledge about geometry using What’s in the Box and Question Quiz. Not only can you the teacher create these quizzes for students to complete, but students can create quizzes for one another to further extend their growth in geometry. Students will be able to derive questions and answers which will hold them accountable of determining the correct answers; this will provide students with double the opportunity to learn about geometric concepts. |
_Use Triptico in Social Studies!
Social studies is a great subject in which Triptico can be integrated into the classroom! Cultural stories of students are important to expose to children in any classroom to make students aware of diversity. Students can present information on any culture they identify with to share with their classmates. Once students have completed research on their culture, they can present their information through various resources. Image Spinner and Text Spinner would be great resources to help students connect images to information, Find Ten could be a way to help students address misconceptions people have about their culture by identifying ten correct characteristics pertaining to their culture, and Word Magnets could also help identify various parts of images that relate to their cultural norms. Teachers can use the Selector One resource to determine the order students will present their information; this can hold students accountable for being prepared to present. Various activities can be created by the students to help their peers develop a deeper connection to the culture they have chosen. In addition to supporting Social Studies curriculum, these activities will help to build on the cultural literacy of students, making students aware of cultural norms in order to understand their classmates and other areas in which understanding culture is important. |
